The snakes are around the gates and fences going to our goat pen and I have almost stepped on two. My husband is talking roughly tearing out my 30yr old box wood around our house surrounded by case they are under the house is in that some way to scare them out from below the house if they are there?

Answers:    This is unusual unless a pond or a water source i.e. standing are real near..If here is no water source near..are you sure they are cottonmouths? But anyway..You can buy "snake away" at home depot or lowes...

You can purchase decoy foxes, or wolfs. You can even buy their urine, and sprinkle it around. The sights and smells of predators should keep them away.
www.cabelas.com I am not sure how resourcefully they work but I have always be told you can put out moth balls and that will keep snakes away.
