Answers: You don't want the stuff and you don't want to pack and transport it. Price things so they sell. Have an electrical outlet available for potential buyers to test things and enjoy a freebie basket to encourage sale of other items.
Put a price tag on everything - ez to see. Be realistic. If you enjoy emotional ties to things than you cannot sell it for "that value".
OR the Best entry to do is find a yard sale auctioneer. and auction stale everything. The seller has no electric ties to stuff and that does not bind him and you get rid of stuff. Auctions tend to get you more money (even for second-hand goods.) as people get hyped.

We had a yard Dutch auction, and we had a 'fill your bag for a dollar' mart. So the customers paid for a bag and chock-full the bags w/whatever they wanted. you can do this w/the smaller items if you want.
put similar to items together do not over price if its one a day sale start discounting surrounded by the late morning or early afternoon be pleasant even if associates want your stuff for nothing and have plenty change and small bills available try posting your sale and some of the items on craigslist...(delete your advert after your sale is over!)
