What cause green flames on my gas barbeque grill ?

Answers:    Every element emits a all your own set of light colors when it is heated. Green is typically emitted by copper. My guess is that near is copper in the burner.
You might try adjusting the shutter, where on earth air is drawn into the tube leading to the burner. It should burn near a blue color, when the air & gas mixture is proportioned correctly.
