What do I do give or take a few the newborn spiders on my ceiling?

Today I looked up and saw many tiny spiders crawling around on my ceiling. My mom and I went around the house massacre all that we could see. I think they come from a nest that was in the ceiling corner that isn't near anymore.
Estimating... how many are there?
What is the most efficent (not fumigating) approach to get rid of them?
And can they cause any wound to me and my family?

These are regular indoor spiders.

Answers:    take a broom or a duster next to an extension pole and wipe them away...they are soft bodied so will easily be killed and after swept up at the same time
Use the vaccuum and empty them within your neighbors window!
