Answers: Question is vague. If you acquire a qualified inspector, they will check for everything that is noticeable. It is impossible for them to anticipate future, unseen problems. As they shift, they will tell you of any defect they see, and an approximate cost for repair or replacement.
Only the age of water heaters, furnaces, softeners, etc, unless nearby is a visible problem: Wiring, leak, corrosion, etc. WELL WORTH THE COST!
