We live in centralized FL. My husband is from a tropical climate and does not want to use air conditioning at adjectives. I would love the air to be set at going on for 75 but have compromised and am likely to have it set at 80 degree. I think this is fundamentally reasonable, but he insists it is set at roughly speaking 83 degrees if it is on at adjectives. At this temperature I am vastly uncomfortable and enjoy trouble sleeping. Am I being unreasonable here or is he?

He is! I enjoy to have the ac set on 70 to be capable of sleep. Maybe you should tell him that if you can't sleep, you'll bring back very moody... be moody for a few days and perchance he'll make use of your blankets.
