Whenever my husband buys me roses they don't last very long at adjectives. I add the food and cut the stems of them diagonally. What else should I do? Am I doing something wrong? How long are they supposed to last?

i vary the water every 2nd day and preserve them in a well lit porthole.. thats all i do and they last ..
