What kind of cardboard can be composted?

Currently I stick toilet roll tubes, and plain corrugated cardboard into my compost, but I don't know about cardboard to be precise shiny. For example, the type of cardboard used in greatly of food packaging which might enjoy bright colours and glossy surfaces.

Is it ok to compost this?

Answers:    Any natural (carbon based) fibres will break down given ample time and nitrogen (look at wood debris contained by the forest). I think shiny cardboard is cised beside clay or shellac, so those should be okay. Petrochemical wax might also be used but this will be stable. Substances of concern might be glue, bleach and dyes. However considering most of these boxes are used to ship food I don't create in your mind they'd be all that desperate.
no form of cardboard composts. They do not break down as it is wood fibre. No different than rag. That also does not compost. That is why they are recycled - chopped up to make cardboard again, or insulation or egg carton or packing material.
