What scent or other things that deter squirrels from my garden?

I just put up a garden paling, but I'd also like to know more tricks that will panic off squirrels appreciation

Answers:    2 tbsp. of cayenne pepper
2 tbsp. of hot sauce
2 tbsp. of chili powder
1 tbsp. of Murphy's Oil soap
1 qt. of warm river

Mix these ingredients in a bucket, consequently pour the mixture into a hand-held sprayer. Shake well, next coat all of plants from top to bottom to permit bother-some critters know they're not welcome.
I know some folks who go to local Beauty Shops or Barber shops and asks for the coat clippings to sprinkle around and in the garden to hold Deer out, it might work for other animals and most times it's free.
