What type of house do you live surrounded by?
Answers: Hi Queen of the jungle.sounds similar to you might like a tree house:).My home from the o.s. looks like an oriental rambler..but if you bearing around it you discover that it's a daylight basement..I like it..it give I and the bride some extra space for things that she likes..I do have one closet (i believe, moved out for myself)lol...I've been a carpenter all my life span...sooooooo..what would I like.Well, I like simply what I'm living in.daylight basements..finished or unfinished...9' glorious ceilings, master bedroom and living room with valted ceiling..5 or 6 and 12 pitchedf roof o.s. with a 2 or 3 and 12 pitch on the inside valted area's.9' otherwise , everywhere. Depending on where you live.a nice shake roof.or archectural comp. shingles. for rustic look.and nice cedar siding w/stone veneer on the front for detail.river rock.and a nice fireplace out of brick or stone surrounded by the basement and up stairs..preferably in the center of the house. Nice hoof it in shower for two adults and a nice jet tub for two also..doesn't own to be spendee.real wood cabinets...some tile.or hardwood.I'm not a lover of hardwood floors.but know they are subsidise again, sooooo.I like carpeting for warm foot in the winter. The reason the pitch of the roof is only average is so you can get up on it and maintain it yourself...I reflect this is what so many people are forgetting.is maintainance...if you hold lots of money no problem.if you have to paint(stain)and clean gutters your self.capably keep it simple(that's why I like the look of oriental settings)rocks , trees, shurb, colorful low repairs plants. This house also has and evening and morning deck..one is covered on the east side for good or unpromising weather..and the entryway has a big 12x12 covered low deck and low roof look...it's done in such a course ...that a wheel chair with the sole purpose has to come up 6" from the driveway...same way near my 3 car garage.1 step into entry hall..I own a little too much hall and stairway lost space within my house..but it's ok..the stairs and fireplace are the highlight of the entryway. Washed stone driveway.with brick or big rocks for detail parking lane...My deck on the south side of the house goes all the instrument across and has a product called spantex(rubber) on it and also serves as a carport for my little shop and underground store parking garage for the kids cars(carport) Nice area for wood storage.covered clothes line.you autograph it.it's a great extra space. I can work down there with fresh nouns..and not get wet. Hope this help..I have almost 4 foot of overhang on my house and also built some crooked spots into the roof.so it looks like a dumb prehistoric jap carpenter built it.I can walk under the o.h. of the roof and not get hold of wet .unless it is blowing hard. I can swing x-mas tree lights off a foot stool..so that is ok...what ever your going to do write it down and use grid newspaper for scale.all the best...at hand appears to be no perfect homes here on earth but beside planning you can make a nice one filled beside love. Enjoy please..location , location , location. bye
I live in a 3 bed semi on the outskirts of a town, my front looks onto a road and the back over a small garden followed by a generous wall.

I live within a double wide mobile house. A house is just a building. It is its occupant that make it a home. Having said that, as long as I have my wife, any dwelling can be made a home. I live contained by a 2 bed maisonette, it's pretty nice. But ideal house, if I had ceaseless amounts of money would either be a really huge and funky house or a huge penthouse apartment. Ahhh..
A small 3 bedroomed house semi detached, i would like a house next to bigger rooms, still waiting to win the lottery. A 3- bed terrace. If I had the money I would do a big outmoded house up. I like converted buildings like churches and prehistoric schools etc. Quite unconvential really!!
A cottage built about 1870 within a rural location.
My ideal home would be the complete opposite - a New York style loft but woeful to say that is never going to evolve but I still dream. Live in a 3-bedroom ranch.
