Answers:    I enjoy installed some ceiling fans and found that I one and only need a/c for something like 3 to 7 days a year during the hottest parts of the summer. I've found that if I close my back door during the hottest points of the daylight, and pull the shades down, that it stops closely of heat from getting surrounded by, and that my house actually get some good interweave and cooler air coming contained by if I shut the door at the peak warmth hours. Other than that, well placed fan here and there save me cool and I turn the a/c on when I'm sweating like barmy and get cranky from it individual too hot! I only hold it on during the day until the temp drops outside, and after have it past its sell-by date for the night unless it's still lately TOO stuffy for me to deal next to. Basically, when it hits 32-35 in the house next I give within.

I live in Ontario, Canada, and where on earth I am doesn't get horribly hot for too long as luck would have it.
I generally newly turn it on when it starts to get discomfited or I start to sweat in my apposite clothes. I don't have children or elderly living contained by my house but I do have pets so I progress by what I believe keeps them comfortable. =^..^=
