Where do I step to return partially or smaller quantity reservoir of Propane from a grill?

Lowes, Home Depot, and Ace Hardware will not take it. They solely take refill and we're not refilling it. I dont want to dump it on the side of the road b/c thats bent.

Answers:    most landfills take used propane tank.
Propane is a product consumers do not return kinda like gasoline because stores are not equiped to evacuate the non-used portion from the container.

What I'd suggest is tender the unused portion to a friend who has a senseless container of the same size.
Go pay for to one of those stores, but don't go inside. Just place the cistern next to the storage coop. The next time an member of staff goes over here to exchange one, he will just place it surrounded by with the rest of the returns.
