Which is a better sheet Egyptian cotton or Sateen?

Answers: You must be thinking Satin. Sateen is different. Sateen IS cotton, it's purely the type of weave. When you are looking for fine sheets you want Egyptian Cotton. Then what type of feel are you looking for? SATEEN is a smoother silkier grain; PERCALE is a crisper cooler sheet. The stuff that you listed is NOT virtuous sheeting. If you want a 1000 thread count sheet set you will be looking to pay around $500-$1000. The ones you're looking at probably consistency like cardboard! - Thread count is the amount of threads woven per square inch and should largely be 1-ply. A lot of companies market their product as 1000 thread count but it can be several plys, cause the sheets to feel thicker! Keep surrounded by mind that it will not breathe and be very hot surrounded by the summer. I would highly advocate AGAINST buying the sheeting that you saw. Put it this way, if you buy FINE LINENS at a 200 thread count...it will final you longer then buying cheap 1000 thread count sheets. afterwards go for the pure Egyptian cotton set 2 or 3. The difference surrounded by is probably 3 has 4 pillow cases.
The sateen set will be better within winter or cold places.
I would definately go for the Egyptian cotton. I find that they are more comfortable and are worth the extra cost surrounded by the long run.
