Answers: If you decide to get a solar fountain variety sure it is one that stores the energy so that it still runs when cloudy.
I would recommend a fountain that uses an electric outlet. Fountains don't use that much electricity to begin beside and your options in style are greater beside fountains with cords.
You can easily darken any electric cord in your landscaping or square.

A solar water fountain would be fabulous! you would be harvest the suns power, and paying nothing (besides the cost of the fountain of course) to have a magnificent yard ornament. They should both work like peas in a pod. I would go with the solar, though. After adjectives, if we all went solar we could release the Earth!
