Which wall and which color for an diction wall?

im looking to paint an accent wall in my bedroom--the walls are white (i live contained by an apartment), my comforter is a teal color with red, yellow and purple stripes to it. I don't want to paint the wall trailing the bed, because that is the wall with the windowpane, but i was thinking of the adjacent wall--and a pastel washed out --but any other ideas? the color has to be approved by the rental organization and dark colors are not allowed (dark reds, blues, purples, etc)

Answers:    I know this sounds wierd but try a DARKISH TAN beside some decor of the color of your comferter. You can take a picture of your comferter (Pattern) make sure you use your flash, and pinch the picture to paint stores and see what matches. I always do that and it turns out great. Also VIOLET. DONT try teal. It is SOOOOOOO intricate to match teal or light blue colors.

Good LUck!
Your diction wall will be the center of attention. So, if you don't mind that wall being the focal point, then sculpture it as an accent wall is the way to do it. Go for it! Likely the best color choices would be a lighter shade of the teal or purple, or conceivably a pale blue, since the more striking the difference between the white and the color, the more dramatic it will be. (I suggest going to a paint store or paint department and getting those little cards of paint colors and seeing which goes best next to your comforter.)
