Why is one of my upstairs rooms so much hotter than the others?
I own some theories. It is a smaller room (10 x 9) and desktop computer is often running in it, which generate heat. Also, it is facing the front of the house, which gets abundantly of sun. I have no blinds on the window so the sun heat up the room all day. A roomy tree provides shade in the back of the house where on earth the other two rooms are.
But the room is still uncomfortably hot at night...
Any ideas of what I could do? I dont want to procure a window ac unit bc it would be revolting to have one of those hanging out the front.
Answers: Also, if it's the most advanced room from the air conditioning unit, it's not getting relatively the blast of air that the lower level rooms are getting.
Have you be in the attic to see if the a/c duct into that room is broken or torn? You may be air conditioning the unbroken attic. Or, if the duct work is not in the attic, there may be a blockage (torn insulation) surrounded by the duct. In my house, the a/c in the attic was put together near air ducts feeding sour in all directions, and the one to a small side room be built so it only had 1/4 of the duct work begin to the a/c flow. BECAUSE THERES HUMIDITY LEVEL IS VERY HIGH AND
U RARELY GO THERE
