Wild White Carrots?

Hello, we have something growing by our flower bed that looks like celery leaves/tops. They in fact get nearly a couple feet glorious. We pulled the roots out only to find that it looks like an rotten white color carrot. And they have a strong carrot smell as well.

They also grow surrounded by other parts of the yard. And I noticed that even my daughter have them pop up. And she lives in another town.

Does any one know if these are really wild carrot? Are they eatable? And if so what is there nutrition value? We live surrounded by growing zone 5. Please reply. Thanks.

Answers:    Whoa. Maybe you have albino carrots; which believe it or not, vegetables may be albino.

If rabbits put away them, then that probably means they are undamaging.

Or they could be something totally foreign.
Maybe salsify.but I'd been 101% sure before I taste it. Google for a picture. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salsify

You haven't mentioned flowers. If an umbel like carrot flower, I'd let it be. Too oodles deadly plants with the umbel flower. Actually, I'd verbs it.
