Yet another examine more or less the quirk of my apartment: What is cause drain stink and how to obtain rid of it?

The sink drain in my upstairs bathroom give off a sulfurous odor every time someone runs the hose down. It can't be the water, because the two other sinks surrounded by the house and the washing gadget don't have any odor at adjectives. The longer the water runs, the more sulfur smell comes up out of the drain. Why is this stirring? More importantly, what can I do to make it stop scheduled? The sink has one of those built-in stoppers, and I'm not sure I can remove it, so anything that would work near that in place would be doubly accommodating. Thanks!

Answers:    Pouring baking soda and vinegar down the drain will help to temporarily wipe out or minimize the odour, but won't stop the smell from recurring. Check to see if near is a p-trap under the sink, and but for, have one installed. A p-trap is a plumbing piece that traps some sea in the pipe, and the trapped hose prevents sewer gases from approval up far enough to incentive a smell in your sink. Very enormously common problem and even if you hold to hire a plumber to do this it shouldn't cost you more than one hour labour plus in the order of $15 for parts. Good luck!
Try putting baking soda and vinegar down the drain and see if that deals near the odor. It could be there's something trying to rot in the pipe that wishes to be blasted out, so to speak.

Good luck!
Yuck, we often enjoy this problem with an upstairs bathroom as very well. I keep a bottle of vinegar below the sink and pour some in respectively time I go into the bathroom.
